Abbey
Dental Hygienist
I absolutely love being a dental hygienist. Getting to know my patients and helping them achieve optimum oral health is my top priority. It is my goal to design an individualized home-care routine that is realistic and achievable. I am very passionate about my job as an educator and get way too excited when I see improvement in my patient’s’ oral health.
During every cleaning, I strive to be gentle but thorough in my work. And hopefully share a few laughs in the mean time!
I grew up on the Hood Canal, playing sports, camping and boating for most of my childhood. In 2019, I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene from Lake Washington Institute of Technology in Kirkland, WA. Shortly after, I started my career with Minahan Dental. I feel very fortunate to work with two dentists who share my passion and focus in patient care.
I spend my free time with my soon-to-be husband, Austen, and our giant fur baby “Millie the Mastiff”. We love taking road trips, golfing, playing on our co-ed slow pitch team, and spending time with our families.

I really enjoy talking with and getting to know our patients. I am passionate about dental healthcare and love helping people achieve healthy, happy smiles.
My passion for dental care started in 1997 as a Dental Assistant and then transitioned to front office management in 2001.
I assist our patients with scheduling and explain treatment plans, financials, and insurance matters.
I am a Native to Washington and enjoy hiking, kayaking and golfing. During the summer I enjoy wine tasting trips to Chelan. I am passionate about dog adoption and share my love with my fur-baby “YogiBear” the Corgi.

Front Office Manager
I truly enjoy every facet of my position and find it a pleasure to talk with and build connections with our wonderful patients. My days don’t feel like work. I feel privileged to be an integral part of the Minahan Dental Family.
I oversee our scheduling and handle insurance, billing and management. I also work with patients on treatment plans, billing, answer the phones and make sure everything runs smoothly.
I am a Seattle native and now live on a farm where I raise and show top winning Irish Wolfhounds, Corgis and Spanish Dressage horses. I am a huge fan of jazz and am passionate about Seahawk, Husky and Alabama Football. I am currently learning to be a wine snob too!

Dental Assistant
I like educating our patients and showing them how to relax in a dental office. It’s important people know that painless dentistry is possible and that we’ll keep them comfortable during procedures!
Outside of work, I enjoy time with my husband of more than 30 years, Bruce. We both treasure time with our adult daughter, Melissa, who’s a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Outside of the office I enjoy hiking, bowling, shopping, movies and trips to the casino!
Ruthie
Certified and Registered Dental Assistant
I was born in Mt. Vernon, raised in Spokane. I attended Spokane Community College for Dental Assisting and moved to Seattle in fall of 2000 to pursue my career in the dental field. In 2005, I became a DANB certified dental assistant. After 12 years in the field, I took a break from private practice to work for the dental clinic at Seattle Children’s Hospital. During my time there, I was able to further specialize my skills in treating children with special needs and working alongside world renowned specialists in the dental and medical fields. In 2013, I went back into private practice and joined Dr. Al’s team. My personal mission as a dental assistant is not only to assist Dr. Al, but to also be there to make our patients as comfortable as they can be while in our chair.
I am one of five siblings, and love spending quality time with my niece’s, nephew’s, family, and close friends. I enjoy walking/hiking around Seattle, taking small group personal training classes, cooking/baking, photography, painting with acrylics on canvas, listening to live local music and taking cruises to Alaska. I also own a pure-bred ragdoll kitty named Sophia.
